PETALING JAYA: RM3.5bil has been spent to procure vaccines for 120% of the population in Malaysia or 38.5 million people, the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) clarified.
It also stressed that the often-quoted RM5bil figure refers to the allocation for the overall implementation of the country’s large-scale Covid-19 vaccination programme, while RM3.5bil of that amount is solely for vaccine procurement.
