Dr Wee’s team gives aid to Kg Parit Kassan constituents

PETALING JAYA: Food donations and necessities are given out by Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong’s team to his constituents in Kampung Parit Kassan.

Dr Wee, who is also the Transport Minister, said currently, 24 residents there have been confirmed as Covid-19 patients.

“This little village has 85 families. More than 35 of these families are undergoing quarantine at home.

“The Ayer Hitam parliamentary service centre led by my political secretary Ling Tian Soon and other volunteers have extended assistance by giving food and kitchen necessities to all families in Kampung Parit Kassan.

“I have instructed all volunteers to always follow the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the National Security Council (NSC) and Health Ministry, ” he said in a Facebook post on Monday (May 17).

He also urged everyone to pray for recovery of the Covid-19 patients there, who include the village head and the imam of the mosque.
