> Deputy MIC president Datuk Seri M. Saravanan has voiced confidence that the popular Vasantham programme will be brought back to TV2, Makkal Osai reported.
The removal of the long-running show had caused an uproar among the Indian community.
The talk show, which featured discussions and reporting on issues close to the heart of the community, went off the air recently.
Tamil dailies subsequently reported that the programme had been moved to RTM’s TV Okey channel, which requires a special decoder for viewing.
Saravanan said he had written to Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah on the matter.
