KUALA LUMPUR: The police have given the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) a thumbs up for maintaining their Covid-19 compliance after a check there on Saturday (May 8).

Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Mohamed Mokhsein Mohamed Zon, when met at the scene, said that he was satisfied with the compliance levels there.

“I wanted to see how things were for myself. From what I’ve seen, the level of compliance here is high.

“Not only are passengers required to show their interstate travel letters before heading towards the departure hall, those who wished to purchase tickets must also produce the letter before a sale is permitted, ” he said.

He added that there had only been two instances lately, where the police issued compounds here.

“One of which occurred last month where a passenger from outside the state arrived with the pink quarantine wristband. The passenger was quickly separated and handed over to the police, ” he said.

ACP Mohamed Mokhsein said that since no buses arriving and departing TBS were travelling within Kuala Lumpur, all passengers should have their approved interstate travel letters.

“If they do not have them, we will compound them, ” he said.

During an inspection at the departure hall, ACP Mohamed Mokhsein said that he was pleased that passengers were complying with physical distancing measures.

“I spoke to a few passengers myself and all had their relevant documents, ” he said.
