Penang cops arrest 15 youths at house party, drugs worth RM1,900 seized

BUKIT MERTAJAM: A group of youngsters, including some as young as 14 years old, were caught partying in a house here and drugs amounting to almost RM1,900 were seized.

Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Shafee Abd Samad said the youths aged 14 to 28 were arrested during a raid in Taman Sri Rambai here at around 12.40am on Saturday (May 8).

"There were 12 boys and three girls, all locals. We also seized drugs worth RM1,871 at the scene.

"The drugs are believed to be cannabis, ketamine and ecstasy," he said in a statement on Saturday.

ACP Shafee said 13 of them tested positive for drugs.

"The case is being investigated under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code and Section 39A (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952," he said.
