Covid-19: Authorities to station compliance teams at travel hubs in KL

KUALA LUMPUR: Brickfields police will place Covid-19 compliance observation teams at travel hubs to monitor adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

In a statement on Friday (May 7), Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar (pic) said the teams will include members of various enforcement agencies.

"They will be placed at main areas and roads, such as KL Sentral station.

"To ensure enforcement of the movement control order in Kuala Lumpur, the teams will be operational 24 hours a day at arrival and departure halls at the station to monitor movement and verify travel letters," he said.

He urged members of the public to cooperate with authorities and apply for interstate travel permission if they meet the criteria.
