A YOUTH leader who was helping a woman trapped in her car was killed when he was hit by another vehicle, Makkal Osai reported.

Nagendran Gajendran, 22, had reportedly stopped his car to help the woman whose car had overturned and ended up in a ditch along the North South Expressway near Ipoh.

He was hit from behind by another passing car and died on the spot. Remains of Nagendran, who was the Jelapang Baru deputy MIC Youth chief, were sent to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun for a post-mortem.

> The daily also reported that the Lenggeng estate Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Negri Sembilan, which was deregistered by the Registrar of Societies (ROS) following a disagreement, finally has a new committee.

The last committee was struck off by the ROS in 2018 after things came to a head due to issues between two temple groups.
