Schools in KL, Putrajaya to close on May 6-7

PETALING JAYA: Schools in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, similar to those in neighbouring Selangor districts, will close on May 6 and 7.

The Education Ministry said schools in both Federal territories and Selangor will be conducting home-based learning (PdPR).

"The ministry's decision to close schools is to reduce movement in the community and movement between states given the location of these two territories which border districts in Selangor," it said in a statement Wednesday (May 5).

The announcement comes hours after the Selangor Education Department issued a circular for all schools in the state to close over the same period.
