Finas chairman Zakaria tests positive for Covid-19

PETALING JAYA: The chairman of the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas) Zakaria Abdul Hamid (pic) has tested positive for Covid-19.

In a statement by Finas on Tuesday (May 4), it said Zakaria had tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday (May 3).

"Following that, he was quarantined based on recommendations and observations by the Health Ministry," it said.

Finas also assured that all of its operations and matters will proceed as normal.

"Zakaria is thankful to everyone who has prayed for his recovery and apologises for any complications that arose from this situation," the statement said.
