Perikatan and Muafakat can sweep Negri in GE15, says state coalition info chief

SEREMBAN: Perikatan Nasional and Muafakat Nasional will be able to win Negri Sembilan with more than a two-thirds majority if they work together in the next general election, says state Perikatan information chief Badzli Bakar.

Badzli, who is also state Muafakat joint information chief, said they could win 28 of the 36 state seats if they agree to face the polls as a team.

"We can also win all eight parliamentary seats in the state if we can put our differences aside and work together.

"This is important as we need a strong government for political stability and to rejuvenate the economy," he said on Monday (May 3).

In the 2018 General Election, Pakatan Harapan won 20 state seats while Barisan Nasional bagged 16.

Pakatan also won five parliamentary seats and Barisan took three.

In the 2013 polls, Barisan won 22 state seats and Pakatan won the remaining 14 seats.

For parliamentary seats, Barisan won five and Pakatan won three that year.
