KUCHING: The Philippine or the P.3 variant of the virus behind Covid-19 – the SARS-CoV-2 – has been detected in Sarawak, says the state Covid-19 Advisory Group (Scovag).
In a statement yesterday, Scovag said the variant was detected by the Institute of Health and Community Medicine (IHCM) of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak in its genome sequencing analysis last week.
