Health Minister: Gazette signed for MCO affecting five Kedah districts from Saturday (May 1)

PETALING JAYA: The gazette for a movement control order affecting five Kedah districts for two weeks beginning Saturday (May 1), says Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba (pic).

Dr Adham said he signed the gazette for the MCO in Kota Setar, Kuala Muda, Bandar Baharu, Baling and Kulim today.

"The government has agreed to implement an MCO in these five districts in Kedah beginning today and to end on May 14 to curb the pandemic, ” he said.

"I thank the Kedah state government for allowing us to take the right actions to curb and break off the transmission chain of this epidemic. This is a precise decision for the safety of the people," added Dr Adham when contacted.
