MACC confirms two officers arrested over links to Nicky Gang

PUTRAJAYA: Two Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officers have been arrested for alleged involvement in "illegal activities" linked to the Nicky Gang.

MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Azam Baki confirmed the arrests on Tuesday (April 27).

"The MACC gave its support to the police and surrendered the two officers to facilitate investigations. I view this as a serious matter and will not compromise on this issue," said Azam

"In fact, I will hand over more officers of our Commission if they are found to be involved," he added in a statement on Tuesday.

Earlier, the Johor police said 12 people have been arrested for suspected links to the Nicky Gang;10 are police officers while two are from the MACC.
