Klang Bersatu 'adopts' two bodyguards beaten by employer

SHAH ALAM (Bernama): Klang Bersatu will take the two bodyguards who were beaten by their employers for fasting as its "adopted family members” to ensure their wellbeing until they find new jobs.

Selangor Bersatu chief Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari said the party would also engage a lawyer to help the two men sue the perpetrator for damages.

"The two bodyguards were traumatised, not only physically, but also mentally,” he told a press conference here Friday (April 23).

At the same time, he said Selangor Bersatu would like to congratulate the police and prosecutors for swiftly taking legal action against the suspect.

Meanwhile, Selangor Bersatu also presented a donation of RM3,000 to one of the bodyguards to help him cope with his job loss and cover his expenses during Ramadan.

"We will also try to help find suitable jobs for both of them as soon as possible,” Abdul Rashid added. - Bernama
