Over 400 boxes of illegal alcohol seized by cops in Klang raid

PETALING JAYA: Hundreds of boxes of illegal alcohol were seized in Klang by the police during a raid on Wednesday (April 21).

Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department deputy director Comm Datuk Azri Ahmad said a total of 482 boxes of untaxed alcohol were seized worth RM85,320

He added in a statement on Thursday that the police also seized three cars and a lorry during the raid

On the raid, Comm Azri said it was conducted after they had detected a syndicate distributing illegal alcohol within the area.

"Six men were arrested, including two from Myanmar. The suspects are aged between 28 and 37 years old and have been remanded, ” he said.
