Interpol has approved Red Notice for Nicky Liow, say Johor cops


JOHOR BARU: Interpol has approved a Red Notice to locate and detain Datuk Seri Nicky Liow, says Johor police chief Comm Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay (pic).

He said a Red Notice was also obtained for Liow's 31-year-old Chinese national wife, Liu Zhe.

"We received the Red Notice for Liow on Tuesday (April 20) while the notice for his wife was received on Wednesday (April 21)," he said.

An Interpol Red Notice is a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and detain persons of interest.

Comm Ayob also confirmed that the state commercial crimes investigation unit had arrested a police officer in relation to the case in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday (April 21).

"I will only confirm the arrest. I will not give any statement (on the matter) as the investigation is ongoing.
