KOTA KINABALU: A couple is calling on the police and Registrar of Companies (ROC) to disclose the findings of a two-year-old cheating case involving an assemblyman.

The couple claimed that they had been partners with the assemblyman in June 2018, who was not with the government at that time.

However, they claimed that there were some ongoing issues with the company in March 2019, which prompted the ROC to conduct a search on it.

The search led to the couple finding out that they were no longer the directors of the company.

They claimed that some of their shares were also transferred to another party without their consent or knowledge.

The couple said they then lodged a police report on the matter at the Karamunsing police station on March 8,2019.

When contacted, Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hazani Ghazali said he was unaware of the case but will look into it.
