Bikers suffer serious burns after collision on Perak road

IPOH: Two motorcyclists suffered severe burns after their machines collided in KM12 of Jalan Bota Kiri- Teluk Sena near Perak Tengah.

Perak Tengah OCPD Supt Barudin Wariso said the accident occurred at about 8.30pm on Tuesday (April 20) injuring a local 36-year-old man, and a 29-year-old Pakistani man, both from Kampung Gajah.

He said due to the impact of the collision, both machines went up in flames as one of the motorcyclists was carrying a container of petrol inside the basket.

“The local man was burnt all over his body, while the foreigner sustained burns to his legs, hands and head,” he said.

Both of them have been sent to the Changkat Melintang hospital for treatment.

Supt Barudin said the accident occurred when the local man was heading home, but did not stop at a junction, causing the other motorcyclist to collide into him.

“The collision made it worse when the petrol caused the machines to go up in flames,” he added.
