Cops raid house, seize over 20,000 cans and bottles of illegal alcohol

KUALA LUMPUR: Over 20,000 cans and bottles of illegal alcohol were seized by the police during a raid at a house here on Tuesday (April 13) afternoon.

"We seized 906 boxes of liquor, which contained a total of 20,194 bottles and cans of various brands of alcohol, ” said Central Brigade General Operations Force (GOF) commander Senior Asst Comm Muhammad Abdul Halim (pic).

He said two people, aged 47 and 69, were arrested during the raid.

"The estimated value of the seizure has been placed at RM750,939.90," he said in a statement on Wednesday (April 14).

He added that the raid crippled a syndicate that had been operating within the Klang Valley area.

"The police urge all to share any information on activities that are against the law," he said.
