KLANG: Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah and Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin have both received their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
The royal couple received the second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech at the Shah Alam Hospital on Saturday (April 10).
According to a statement posted on the Selangor Royal Office Facebook's timeline, Sultan Sharafuddin and Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin received the first dose of the vaccine on March 20.
Also receiving the second dose of the vaccine was Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah.
"Sultan Sharafuddin consented to receiving the Covid-19 vaccination after being informed that almost all of the frontliners in Selangor have received their respective vaccinations," said the statement.
The statement added that Sultan Sharafuddin urged people of all ages to not hesitate to receive the Covid-19 vaccination for the sake of collective well-being and health.
The ruler also urged the people to quickly register through the MySejahtera application and wait patiently for their turns to receive their Covid-19 vacvination as fixed by the Health Ministry.
