KAJANG: The police are looking for a driver of a car who fled a roadblock at the Kajang toll plaza, says deputy OCPD Supt Mohd Sabri Abdullah.

He said that the incident - a video of which has since gone viral on social media - occurred at about 2pm on Friday (April 9).

"The driver did not want to go through the roadblock and attempted to turn back. When police personnel approached the car and told him to stop, the suspect fled the scene. Police tried to chase after him but he managed to escape," he said.

When contacted on Saturday (April 10), Supt Mohd Sabri said police are investigating under Section 42 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for driving recklessly and Section 186 of the Penal Code for preventing civil servants from carrying out their duties.

"We urge those with information to contact the police as soon as possible," he added.
