MELAKA: The uprooted 127-year-old Batai Laut or Yellow Flame tree in front of the Stadthuys Building in Bandar Hilir here will be replaced with a much younger specimen of the same species.
Melaka Historic City Council (MBMB) Mayor Zainal Abu said the six-year-old tree will be regularly cared for by horticulturists.
