Cops hunt for man who tried to flash woman in parking lot

KAJANG: Police are looking for a man who allegedly attempted to flash his privates at a woman who was parking her car near a condominium complex along Persiaran Suntex here.

In the incident, the man stopped his indecent act and became violent when he realised the clerk had taken out her mobile phone and began recording the encounter.

He smashed her car window and attempted to grab her mobile phone before fleeing the scene.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan said the incident occurred at around 2.41am on Sunday.

“We received a report from the 24-year-old woman over the incident.

“She claimed that she was parking her car when a man approached her on a motorcycle and tried to talk to her, ” he said in a statement.

The woman alleged the man then tried to unzip his trousers but stopped his act when he realised the woman was recording the encounter with her mobile phone.

“The suspect then took an object believed to be a stone from his motorcycle basket and flung it at her driver side window causing it to shatter.

“The suspect attempted to grab her mobile phone causing the woman to scream. He then fled the scene, ” he said adding that the victim suffered injuries to her right hand.

He urged anyone with information on the case to contact Sjn Rahmad Abdul Aziz at 019-3693083 or go to the nearest police station.
