Armed Forces quarters at Jalan U-Thant catches fire


KUALA LUMPUR: A fire broke out inside a Malaysian Armed Forces quarters in Jalan U-Thant.

According to a statement from the city Fire and Rescue Department, teams from the Keramat and Pudu fire stations responded to the incident after being notified at 4.58pm Wednesday (April 7).

"The fire was inside a bedroom measuring around 10 by 12 feet. It was fully extinguished at 5.26pm.

"The fire damaged around 50% of the room, and there were no victims involved," the department said in the statement.
