KOTA BARU: A fine of up to RM15mil is being proposed for those found guilty of committing scheduled waste pollution, says Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.
The Environment and Water Minister said the proposal was among several amendments to the Environmental Quality Act 1974, which is currently being reviewed.
He said heavier penalties were needed as the existing quantum was too low.
