Over RM650,000 worth of illegal alcohol seized in Sg Buloh raid

PETALING JAYA: Over 25,000 bottles and cans of illegal alcohol have been seized by the police during a raid in Sungai Buloh.

The raid was led by the General Operations Force (GOF) Central Brigade at Taman Industri SB Jaya in Sungai Buloh on Wednesday (March 31) morning.

"The raid led to the arrest of five men, aged between 30 and 41.

"A roll of approximately 12,000 pieces of suspected fake Customs stamps and 1,085 boxes filled with various brands of liquor were found.

“A total of 25,448 bottles of liquor and beer cans with an estimated value of RM655,858 were seized," said GOF commander Senior Asst Comm Muhammad Abdul Halim in a statement on Thursday (April 1).
