MEF reaffirms support for workplace diversity and inclusion

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) has reiterated its commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace, saying that many companies plan to employ more women.

Its president Datuk Dr Syed Hussain Syed Husman said MEF fully supports the agenda on encouraging the employment of women and diversity inclusion.

“In fact, all employers are aligned with these objectives as there are many plans to increase the number in women participation in employment.

“As working from home has now become the new normal for many employers, we have to explore new ways of managing our workforce, especially with more women working from home, ” he said in the wake of the inaugural MEF-Talent Corp live webinar on “Diversity Inclusion”.

The webinar was held in conjunction with International Women’s Day on March 29, and attracted over 200 participants, representing employers and various stakeholders.
