Wee pays respects to LBS Bina founder

PETALING JAYA: LBS Bina Group founder Datuk Seri Lim Bock Seng was a hardworking leader who also helped the needy, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The Transport Minister paid his respects to the renowned corporate figure who had passed away on Sunday (March 28) at age 91.

“The late Datuk Seri Lim was a diligent contractor and was successful in his career.

“Besides that, he was committed to philanthropic work in helping the need. He has also contributed a lot to schools, especially in Sungai Way and generally in Selangor.

“In the 70s and 80s, the late Datuk Seri Lim ventured into the political arena in Selangor and was a MCA leader respected by the grassroots in Selangor.

“Truly, his passing is a huge loss to society, ” he posted on Facebook on Monday (March 29).

His post was accompanied by pictures of him attending the funeral, and also speaking to LBS executive chairman and Bock Seng’s son Tan Sri Lim Hock San.

Bock Seng had been chairman of LBS since Dec 6,2001, until his retirement from the position on March 1,2021.

Bock Seng had more than 50 years of experience in the construction and property development sectors and played crucial roles in driving the company’s growth.
