PUTRAJAYA: Incidents of corruption and power abuse among civil servants are alarming, which is why the country’s anti-graft body is seeking the cooperation of department heads to weed out the menace within the public service.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) revealed that of the 5,652 arrests made between 2015 and last year, 47.5% or 2,683 involved government officials – from top management to those in management and professional groups right down to support staff.
