Cops confirm probe on harassment claim at Putrajaya roadblock

PUTRAJAYA: A woman's claim of being sexually harassed by a policeman at a roadblock is being investigated, district police said.

In a statement on Sunday (March 28), Putrajaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Fadzil Ali said reports had been received from both parties in the alleged incident on Saturday.

“On March 27, a police officer made a report regarding an online post by the woman who claimed she was sexually harassed by him at the roadblock in Putrajaya.

“The woman filed her report on the same day, ” he said.

The 28-year-old woman, who operates a business selling milk-based products, claimed that the officer had asked “You perah sendiri ke susu tu (did you milk it yourself)?"

“The officer denies having said that. He said he asked ‘You buat sendiri ke susu tu?' (did you make it yourself).

“Other personnel at the location including an officer from the Malaysian Armed Forces denied the woman's claim as well, ” ACP Mohd Fadzil said.

He added that investigations would continue regardless, and an investigation paper had been opened.

“The police will conduct the investigation without compromise, ” he said.
