Sarawak cops to step up surveillance at Gunung Tabai to prevent encroachment, illegal gold mining

KUCHING: Police will step up surveillance at Gunung Tabai in Bau with assistance from the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) to prevent encroachment and illegal gold mining in the area.

This comes after a villager was killed in a collapsed mine shaft on Wednesday (March 24).
