PETALING JAYA: Kelantan Umno has declared it will sever ties with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) in the upcoming general election ahead of a decision expected to be made at the party's general assembly this weekend.
Its secretary Akhbar Salim said several decisions were reached during a meeting on Tuesday night (March 23) which was attended by 12 out of 13 divisions, as the Tanah Merah division was still suspended.
