KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman has urged the public to visit the National Security Council (NSC) website to get updated standard operating procedures (SOP) on social events, lectures and courses during the pandemic.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador said the public could learn more about the SOP via the website at https://www.mkn.gov.my.
"The SOP differs according to the movement control order status, be it recovery MCO, conditional MCO or enhanced MCO, and focus will be given to aspects such as physical distancing and the area of premises.
"The public is also advised to scan QR codes via the MySejahtera application or record their names and contact numbers in logbooks at the premises visited for close contact tracing in the event that a Covid-19 positive case is discovered in the area," he said in a statement on Tuesday (March 23).
He said scanning body temperature only needed to be done once when entering a building such as a shopping complex.
"The police will continue to conduct SOP compliance operations to ensure the public adheres to the orders given in an effort to flatten the curve of Covid-19 infections," he said.
