Cops seeking two men over cheating cases

SEREMBAN: Police are looking for a 42-year-old man to assist investigations into a company director's claim that he was duped of RM840,000.

State Commercial Crime Investigation Department head Supt Aibee Ab Ghani said the victim, in his 60s and from Port Dickson, claimed he was first approached in September 2019 to help finance the production of a local movie.

"The victim was told production would be carried out with cooperation from the state government," he said.

Supt Aibee said after investing some money, the victim decided to check this with the state government but was told that it was not involved in any such venture.

He said police are seeking Mohd Indera Lasim whose last known address was in Bandar Laguna Merbok in Sg Petani, Kedah.

Those with information can contact Insp M. Muraly at 016-783 9535 or the state police contingent at 06-647 2222.

Meanwhile, Supt Aibee said police are also looking for a 48-year-old man to assist another case where a man was cheated of RM7,600 in January 2019.

"The complainant said the man had promised to get him five four-wheel-drive vehicles which were to have been disposed of but these were never delivered," he said.

He said police wished to contact Ku Azhar Ku Ibrahim, whose last known address is Taman Kota Perdana, Seri Kembangan in Selangor.

Those with information can call Insp Muhammad Amir Naim Muhammad Yusof at 017-589 3462 or 06-647 2222.
