PETALING JAYA: Fourteen families who were victims of a thunderstorm received a pleasant surprise from Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and Semarang assemblyman Datuk Samsol Bari Jamali.

Dr Wee said he and Samsol had sent volunteers from their respective service centres after receiving news that 14 houses in Kg Bunagong and Parit Kerajaan in the Ayer Hitam constituency in Johor were damaged by a thunderstorm on March 16.

In a Facebook post, Dr Wee said he and Samsol had provided kitchen necessities to the affected villages.

On Sunday (March 21), Dr Wee also said he visited the affected areas together with Samsol's representative, to hand over financial aid totalling RM18,200 to the 14 families.
