Third volume on Xi Jinping's book series launched in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: The third volume of the "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" series which details the Chinese president Xi Jinping's policies and governance in leading China in the new era was launched on Saturday (March 20) at the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce building.

The launch of the book containing a compilation of 92 of Xi Jinping's spoken and written works from 2017 to 2020, was officiated by China's ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing (pic) in a ceremony jointly organised by the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce and Malaysia-China Friendship Association.

The third volume highlights China's governance under president Xi Jinping in eradicating poverty, policies in bringing the country forward, economic development and sustainability, as well as the overall CPC leadership.

Ouyang said he is pleased that the series has been well received and appreciated with a large readership in China and other countries since its publications.

The first and second volume published in 2014 and 2017 respectively were produced in 32 languages and distributed to 160 countries and regions in the world.

''It has now become one of the most influential works written by state leaders. I’m glad to see that the third volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China has gained ever-increasing popularity among Malaysian readers after the introduction of the first two volumes to Malaysia.

"Actually, this series has opened a “door of thought” to the understanding of China, its impressive achievements, underlying motivations and the future prospects," he said.
