Not suitable to have dialogue on 'Allah' issue since govt is appealing court decision, says Council of Churches

PETALING JAYA: It is inappropriate to have a dialogue on the issue of the use of the word “Allah” by non-Muslims since the government has filed an appeal against the court decision, says the Council of Churches of Malaysia (CCM).

Its president Archbishop Datuk Meltar Jiki Tais said the Home Ministry, which called for the dialogue at the end of the month, is one of the appellants.
