PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,354 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday (March 14), bringing the cumulative total to 323,763.
Selangor has the highest number of cases at 577, followed by Sarawak (178), Penang (154), Johor (121), Perak (101), Kuala Lumpur (55), Sabah (39), Terengganu (37), Kedah (33), Kelantan (26), Negri Sembilan (21), Pahang (five), Melaka (four), Putrajaya (two) and Labuan (one). Perlis has no cases.
In a tweet, the Health Ministry said within the same 24-hour period, there were four fatalities, bringing the death toll to 1,210.
Another 1,782 patients were discharged from medical facilities, which means 306,274 have recovered from the disease nationwide.
In total, there are 16,279 active cases nationwide.
From this number, 158 are in intensive care units, with 71 requiring ventilation support.
