Wee pays tribute to women

PETALING JAYA: Women are equal partners in the socio-economic development of the country, says Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

In his International Women’s Day 2021 message, Dr Wee paid tribute to women who had worked hard as they shouldered various responsibilities and roles.

“Women today not only take good care of their families but at the same time they are respected in their own careers.

“They are wives, daughters, mothers and they are also fighting for the community, ” Dr Wee, who is also MCA president, said in a statement posted on his official Facebook page yesterday.

This year’s Women’s Day theme is “Choose to Challenge”.

“Women are now standing as tall as men. Women also contribute to the development of the country and the welfare of the community, ” he added.
