Penang cops investigating report of man in pink wristband seen at hardware store


BALIK PULAU: The police are investigating a report lodged about a 27-year-old man, believed to be a person under surveillance (PUS) and his family, allegedly shopping at a hardware store here.

Balik Pulau OCPD Supt A. Anbalagan said the 30-year-old hardware shop supervisor made a police report on March 7 at around 7.50pm.

“The complainant was working when he was informed by his staff that there was a man who was wearing a pink bracelet suspected to be a PUS in the shop.

“The complainant met the suspect and asked him to wait as he wanted to contact the police for confirmation.

“However, the suspect rode away with his motorcycle.

“According to the complainant, the suspect came with his wife and two children.

“We are investigating the case and are waiting for the southwest district Health Department for confirmation, ” Supt Anbalagan said in a statement on Monday (March 8).
