PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,529 new Covid-19 cases on Monday (March 8) - the third straight day daily cases dipped below the 2,000 mark -bringing total cases to 314,989, says the Health Ministry.

Eight more people died due to the coronavirus, pushing Malaysia’s Covid-19 death toll to 1,177.
The country also discharged 2,076 Covid-19 patients, which means 294,034 people have recovered.
The number of people with active Covid-19 infections in Malaysia is now 19,778.
Currently, 160 patients are in intensive care, with 79 requiring ventilator support.
