Melaka cops issue 92 traffic summonses to 63 students 'celebrating' end of SPM


MELAKA: Traffic police issued 92 summonses to 63 students for "celebrating" the end of SPM examination at two locations in Klebang here.

State Traffic chief Supt Hasan Basri Yahya said the students were summoned for a range of offences during the operation at Dataran 1 Malaysia and Pantai Puteri here on Wednesday (March 3).

"The operation started on Wednesday evening and lasted for several hours until 8pm," he said on Thursday (March 4).

Supt Hasan Basri said the students' offences included modifying exhaust pipes and riding without licences.

He added that 14 motorcycles were also confiscated.
