SHAH ALAM: Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah will wait for his turn to be vaccinated in order to let frontliners get immunised first.
“His Royal Highness stressed that the vaccine should be prioritised for frontliners, who are facing a higher risk of infection.
“As such, until all the frontliners have received their vaccine, His Royal Highness will continue adhering to standard operating procedures set by the authorities, ” said a statement issued by Istana Alam Shah on Friday.
“His Royal Highness also advised people in Selangor, as well as Malaysians in general, to get the Covid-19 vaccines as scheduled by the Health Ministry, ” said the statement posted on the Selangor Royal Office Facebook page.
In Kangar, Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail urged the people in the state not to be influenced by inaccurate information over Covid-19 vaccines.
“If in doubt, refer to the state health department, ” he said in a statement issued by the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) on Friday.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin, who is also MAIPs president, had earlier attended a ceremony to rename the Perawah Tok Kayaman Mosque as Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque. — Bernama
