Two girls drown at Pantai Sg Ular in Kuantan, boy missing


KUANTAN (Bernama): Two girls drowned and another boy still missing at Pantai Sungai Ular here on Saturday (Feb 27).

Gebeng Fire and Rescue Station chief Rosdan Zakaria said they received an emergency call at 5.50pm informing that four victims were feared drowned at the beach.

However, he said, a 13-year-old girl was rescued by members of the public.

"One of the deceased was found by members of the public and another victim was found by the rescue team. Another victim is still missing," he said when met at the scene.

Bernama has learned that the drowned victims are Fitrah Dhia Zahraa' Zaidi, aged nine, and Nor Najuwa Mohd Ariffin, 13, while her brother, Mohd Fazrul Hakimi, 11, is missing. – Bernama
