Ismail Sabri: 414 compounded, 18 remanded for various MCO violations


PETALING JAYA: A total of 414 people were compounded and 18 were remanded for various MCO violations on Friday (Feb 26), says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Of the 432 people caught for flounting MCO rules on Feb 26, 106 were found to have not adhered to physical distancing measures and 51 had crossed district and state borders without prior permission.

The Senior Minister (Security) added on Saturday (Feb 27) that under Ops Benteng, 27 illegal immigrants were detained.

He also said that two boats and one vehicle were seized.

"At the same time, 10 illegal immigrants were turned away during an operation,' he said.
