Covid-19: 3,545 new cases reported, 12 fatalities bring death toll to 1,088


PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded 3,545 new Covid-19 infections on Wednesday (Feb 24), says the Health Ministry.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, in a statement, said the country also reported 12 new Covid-19 fatalities, bringing the country’s death toll to 1,088.

There were 3,331 patients who recovered and were discharged, which means the total number of people who have recovered from Covid-19 in the country is 260,009.

Active cases in the country now stand at 30,677.

In total, Malaysia has recorded 291,774 Covid-19 cases.

Currently, 189 people are being treated at intensive care units, with 88 of them requiring ventilator support.
