PUTRAJAYA: The government will place Kampung Tanah Merah in Kota Marudu, Sabah under enhanced movement control order beginning Feb 23 after a spike in positive cases were recorded at the locality.
Health authorities to date had carried out 226 screenings, of which 57 individuals tested positive.
“After a risk assessment, the government has agreed to place the locality under enhanced MCO for 14 days, ” said Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on Monday (Feb 22).
While under lockdown, Ismail Sabri said that health authorities will carry out swab tests on 545 residents of Kampung Tanah Merah.
