The spokesman said that they received the distress call at 1.45am and 15 firemen in two fire trucks from the Tuaran district were rushed to the scene about 5km from the Tuaran fire station.

The fire at the six-door wooden quarters was at its height when firemen arrived. Firemen doused the fire quickly before ending operations at 5am.
