PETALING JAYA: Only one out of the 10 new Covid-19 clusters was not linked to the workplace, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said.
In his daily Covid-19 statement yesterday, Dr Noor Hisham said that only the Jalan Tun Razak cluster in Kuala Lumpur was linked to high-risk groups.
Of the nine workplace clusters identified, three were from Johor; the Persiaran Synergi Utama, Jalan i-Park Satu and Jalan Lengkok Satu clusters.
In Selangor, the Lebuh Keluli and Industri Selesa workplace clusters were identified.
Both of the new clusters in Kuala Lumpur, the Lorong Peel and Jalil Utama construction site clusters, were linked to construction sites.
Negri Sembilan saw the addition of the Persiaran Bunga Tanjung workplace clusters, whereas the Bukit Tengah workplace cluster was identified in Terengganu.
Yesterday saw an additional 3,499 Covid-19 cases.
Once again, recoveries exceeded new cases, with 3,515 recoveries recorded.
“Selangor once again has recorded the most daily cases, with 1,345 infections. Of that, 1,052 cases were linked to clusters and close contact tracing.
“Johor recorded the second-highest daily cases. Kuala Lumpur recorded 511 cases, ” he said.
