IPOH: The Ipoh Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA) has reported a 50% increase in dogs being abandoned since the Covid-19 pandemic started.
Its president Ricky Soong said mongrels along with husky mix, golden retriever, poodle and pit bull were also roaming the streets.He said prior to the pandemic, abandoned dogs at shelters comprised 30%, while the rest were strays.
